A Broomfield family of five came to us with a house full of memories and a long list of things that no longer worked. With both parents working full-time jobs and a need to make the home work for every family member long term, they wanted a contractor they could trust to manage every detail of a large project.
"Extremely happy with Bunn & Sons! Couldn’t have asked for a better contractor/partner to work with on this large scale home remodel! We worked with the team from start to finish (initial phone conversation through final completion day) for about 11 months. The entire process and outcome exceeded our expectations. Tom and the full team are complete professionals: experts in their field, detailed and meticulous in their process, caring and personable in all interactions, reliable and trustworthy, and precise with their scheduling and timeline commitments. The actual work performed and project outcome/quality is top-notch and we are now living in a beautifully renovated space. Excellent experience across the board!"
A kitchen short on light: The original kitchen felt dark and gloomy, with dated finishes that weren’t the family’s style.
Not enough room to gather: The layout couldn’t comfortably hold a family of five, let alone the people they wanted to host.
A long-term living question: The home needed to make space for an adult child with disabilities to continue to live at home.
Three levels that felt disconnected: Outdated doors, trim, and finishes throughout left the main level, upstairs, and basement feeling like three separate eras of the same house.
Our design team reimagined the kitchen layout from scratch and drew up an entirely new floor plan for the basement living space. We helped the family select every material, built 3D visuals so they could see the home before it was built, and coordinated each piece of development and construction along the way.
The new layout opens to the living spaces and gives every member of the family a place to land, cook, and linger together.
A complete tear-down and rebuild turned 1,500 square feet of basement into a true second living level the family can grow into for decades.
An updated living room and new fireplace gave the family a calm, gathering-friendly heart of the home for everyday evenings together.
A thoughtfully reconfigured, fully customized mudroom finally gives a family of five a place for backpacks, jackets, and the daily in-and-out of real life.
Pental Quartz countertops, Sollid brand cabinetry, tile backsplashes, and state-of-the-art appliances.
Updated with custom cabinets and built-in shelving for everyday function.
A full refresh of the home's most-used powder room.
New bedroom, living spaces, and a relocated three-quarter bathroom, plus brand-new windows.
Roughly 1,200 square feet of main-level oak repaired and refinished to feel new again.
New doors, trim, and paint across all three levels of the home.
What started as a list of frustrations became a home built to carry this family forward. The kitchen finally fits the people who use it, the basement answers a long-term question about where their adult child will live, and every level of the house now feels like part of the same story. They didn't move. They stayed, and made it theirs.
